Happy 2017! I hope this year will be full of success & happiness for you all!
I just wanted to start by saying this is an extremely big year for me, with applying to universities, my driving test and thinking about taking things further with my hope for a career in fashion. I run a blog and an Instagram, however I have been thinking about starting a YouTube channel where I would post weekly fashion related videos. The types of videos I would share would be clothing hauls, this months favourites, look books, my favourite brands, reviews and anything else relates to clothing, brands and fashion. I am a huge lover of YouTube and spend a lot of time watching clothing hauls, makeup tutorials and tutorials on how to make garments!
For my next project at college, I have to create a response to an image that I found in Bradford Media Museum. The image I chose really attracted me as I love the overall beauty and effect of it. The final outcome has to be on a computer, and as I want to make his fashion related I have actually decided to hand make a dress which I will model or get someone to model for me in front of the camera in the same position and style of the original image. My main idea is to create a very modern interpretation of the original image as this is outstanding and eye catching. The original is very plain however striking, and I want to create the same 'beauty type' shot however with the effect of modern beauty, as over time these factors of 'true beauty' have changed dramatically.
The next thing I am thinking of investing in is a camera or a camcorder. I would use this to take images of my garments, use in photo shoots, look books, film for YouTube and also an accessory that I will need for University. I have been looking at the Fujifilm finepix S camera (which you can find here). I will write a review on how I find it when using for fashion and photography purposes. I believe a good camera is a really strong positive investment especially when documenting your work like me or even capturing memories. If anyone has any questions feel free to email me at eeastwood@live.co.uk or go to my 'contact' page on this blog or even my Instagram which you can find here.
